Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor wants England U21 boss Stuart Pearce to stay in charge.

"I want him in charge of the Under-21s for as long as possible," said the U21 skipper. "He is one of the best managers we've had.

Getting to the semifinals in Holland with the suspensions and injuries we had was fantastic.

"With the talented players we have we should be good enough to win the second leg against Wales."
