Newcastle United midfielder Dan Gosling is targeting the England senior team after plenty of Stuart Pearce's U21s are starting to be considered by Fabio Capello.
The former Everton youngster started for the Young Lions in their 4-1 win over Israel at Oakwell yesterday and says now that the door is open for the seniors, he will do everything in his power to enter it.
"It helps that Mr Capello is considering the Under-21s and he watches us closely," Gosling said.
"The gaffer (Pearce) reports back every time - they are quite close.
"It can only be a good thing, and you see other lads pushing on and you think you want to be there as well.
"Hopefully, you find good form for your club and then who knows?"
