Newcastle United winger Harvey Barnes felt his season was over at one stage.

The attacker came in from Leicester City in the summer and looked like an instant hit.

However, a foot injury meant that he was absent for a lengthy period, while a return at Christmas was delayed by a setback.

Asked after their 4-4 draw with Luton Town about the challenge of coming back from a lengthy layoff, Barnes stated: "Yeah, definitely.
