Newcastle, West Brom chasing Hull midfielder Tom Huddlestone

Newcastle United and West Brom are chasing Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone.

The Sun says Toon boss Rafa Benitez has enquired about taking the experienced midfielder this summer, as the Spanish boss looks to add quality to his squad on their return to the top flight.

Huddlestone has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave the KCOM this summer for a cut-price £2million if the Tigers were relegated.

The former Spurs playmaker is still regarded as one the best passers around and Benitez will see the fee as money well spent if he can get a deal done quickly.

Newcastle could face competition from West Brom have also shown some interest in Huddlestone as boss Tony Pulis looks to replace Darren Fletcher who joined Stoke.
