Newcastle watching Torino striker Andrea Belotti situation

Newcastle United are watching Torino striker Andrea Belotti.

The Evening Chronicle says Newcastle have kept tabs on Italy striker Belotti for several years .

But his refusal to sign a new contract at Torino has opened up what could be considered an enticing deal for the 37-times capped Italy international.

The Torino star, who has netted 98 goals in Serie A, had a release clause of £85million but the Italian side has now dropped their demands as he enters the last year of his contract.

Belotti may not have scored for Italy at Euro 2020 so far but he has very much been in the shop window after playing a part in helping them reach the semi-finals of the competition. The asking price for the No 9 Belotti is now down to £29million with no new contract signed and Torino, who the striker scored 15 times for last season, are fearful that they could lose him for nothing.

And Newcastle are expected to be offered the chance to sign Belotti after the Euros.
