Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero is wanted by Newcastle United.

The Sunday Mirror says Toon boss Rafa Benitez is keen to boost his keeper options.

And taking Caballero is an option after his deal with Manchester City ran out.

Benitez had wanted to push through a transfer for Pepe Reina but if that fails to materialise then the Spaniard is willing to take ex-Manchester City shot-stopper Caballero on a free transfer.
