Lyon's talented young right-back Sael Kumbedi could be heading to the Premier League.

The 18-year-old flier is being seen as an alternative at Newcastle United to Tino Livramento of Southampton.

While the Magpies would prefer to secure Livramento, as he has shown he can shine in the Premier League, they will not pay over the odds for players.

Newcastle will then look to the Lyon star as an alternative, as he can be had for around half the amount as Livramento would cost, per The Mail.

Given Kumbedi is very young and only recently broke into the Lyon first team, he would also command a much lower wage.

Newcastle are also working to try and bring Harvey Barnes to the club from Leicester City.
