Newcastle United will pay John Carver £1million in compensation according to reports.
The north east club confirmed on Tuesday that Carver, who acted as interim boss in the second half of last season, would not continue with the club in a coaching capacity.
Carver and Steve Stone have been given their marching orders by the Magpies hierarchy but the Daily Mirror reports that the former will be paid for the remaining five years of his contract as assistant coach.
Carver had a handful of years left on the eight-year deal he signed along with ex-boss Alan Pardew and the Magpis will honour that commitment by paying out his entire salary. Stone will also be paid his full contract.
