Newcastle United players are shocked by the treatment of striker Facundo Ferreyra.
Ferreyra is on-loan at Newcastle from Shakhtar Donetsk.
He was even left out of the club's reserve team 2-1 win over Wolves on Monday night as the Magpies try to prise some type of response out of him.
A source close to the players told the Evening Chronicle: "He hasn't even managed to get a regular game for the reserves.
"And there have been a few raised eyebrows in training.
"But he came to the club as a friend of the captain Coloccini and isn't thought to be the manager's pick."
