Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse has dedicated his wonder goal against Southampton to Cory Davison.

Cisse gestured to the crowds with a C sign for eight-year-old Cory, who is recovering from intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Cisse said of his goal: "It was for Cory. I celebrated for him.

"Maybe I waited a long time to do it because I promised him for a while. But I finally did it. It was a nice goal for me - but he inspired me to score it."
