Newcastle United's young goalkeeper Jak Alnwick trained again with the first team at the club's Benton base yesterday.

Alnwick, younger sibling of ex-Sunderland keeper Ben, has been elevated to the first-team picture in recent weeks and warmed-up with the first team ahead of the 2-2 draw with Wolves.

Alnwick starred for Gateshead on loan earlier in the campaign but, after working his way through the ranks with United, is likely to be loaned to a Football League side sooner rather than later, says the Evening Chronicle.
