Newcastle United are tracking Olympique Marseille striker André-Pierre Gignac.
The Evening Chronicle says the Magpies had scouts assigned around Europe over the weekend with a striker and defender targets currently being assessed.
United have an interest in Marseille striker Gignac but he did not score in Marseille's 2-1 win over Lens.
