Newcastle's Ranger in court for breaching bail conditions

Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger appeared in court on Tuesday and admitted breaching bail conditions which banned him from the city centre, reports The Guardian. Ranger was arrested by police on Monday night outside a Tyneside casino.

Ranger is currently on bail awaiting trial at Newcastle crown court in June on assault charges and his conditions ban him from entering the city's "parking meter zone".

The 20 year old appeared at Newcastle magistrates court, where he admitted the breach and was again granted bail with the same conditions.

Ranger will go on trial before the same magistrates on Wednesday on a drunk and disorderly charge.
