Newcastle's Dundee Utd loanee Good expected to make Socceroos squad

Curtis Good is being tipped to make the provisional Australian squad for this year's World Cup.

SBS is reporting that the 21-year old Newcastle United defender, who has returned to Dundee United on loan, is expected to be named in Ange Postecoglou's 30-man Socceroos roster playing just once at international level.

Good made his Socceroos debut in the 4-3 friendly loss to Ecuador in London in early March, which is coincidentally the last time he played competitively, but should get the nod on May 14 when Postecoglou reveals his preliminary group.

In that match, Good sustained a hip flexor injury which forced him back to parent club Newcastle after making four impressive appearances for the Tangerines.

However, the former Melbourne Heart young gun is back at Tannadice on a modified training program as the Tangerines prepare for their final two Scottish Premiership fixtures as well as the Scottish Cup final against St Johnstone on May 17.
