Newcastle United are interested in Stoke City winger Liam Lawrence.

The Daily Mail says Lawrence is on the Celtic transfer wish list and has made it clear he is keen on a move away from the Britannia Stadium.

But the Magpies also harbour an interest in the 28-year-old and might be able to top any Celtic wage offer if agreement is reached with Stoke.
