Newcastle United have reportedly made an informal enquiry regarding Manchester City's Micah Richards.
Goal.com suggests that the Magpies are eager to talk to the 25-year old right-back who has under two years remaining on his current City deal.
Richards fears he may be losing his spot under Manuel Pellegrini with the Chilean preferring to go with Pablo Zabaleta this season, prompting Newcastle to make the enquiry.
The Toon already have France international Mathieu Debuchy at right-back but are also keen to lure Richards to St James' Park.
