Newcastle United are pulling back from their deal for Sochaux striker Modibo Maiga.
The Sun says Toon's £7million swoop for Sochaux star Maiga is in doubt after problems over his medical.
The striker, 24, appears to have a knee problem but his agent Karim Aklil said: "Modibo is in perfect physical condition."
