Newcastle performing heavy scouting mission on Benfica striker Darwin Nunez

Newcastle United are working hard to secure summer transfers to bring the team to another level.

Manager Eddie Howe has stabilised the club after they flirted with relegation for much of the first half of the season.

Incoming January transfers and a change in approach has meant the Magpies are one of the form teams in the second half of this term.

According to The Mirror, they are now focusing on summer moves, with Benfica striker Darwin Nunez high up on their list of wanted players.

The club are extensively scouting Nunez, as they look to find a prolific forward to take their attack to the next level.

Others who are being linked include Dominic Calvert-Lewis and Patrick Schick, along with midfielders Kalvin Phillips and Yves Bissouma.
