Newcastle United are preparing a £7 million bid for Galatasaray attacker Arda Turan.

The Mirror says Toon boss Kevin Keegan has been told to chase the best youngsters in Europe and Turan, 21, is on his list.

Keegan wants to push through a deal before Euro 2008, but Galatasaray manager Adnan Polat is putting up a fight to keep his squad together.
