Newcastle offer Mitrovic to West Ham

Newcastle United have offered striker Aleksandar Mitrovic to West Ham.

Hammers boss David Moyes is thought to be in the market for a new striker when the transfer window opens in January.

Mitrovic, 23, is out of favour in Rafa Benitez's side and has racked up just 89 minutes of Premier League action from the substitute bench.

Joselu, Dwight Gayle and Ayoze Perez are all ahead of the Serb in the pecking order.

But the Daily Mail says Moyes is ready to take a gamble on the towering forward and believes he can land him on cheap.

Mitrovic still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract on his current deal but with Toon boss Rafa Benitez ready to delve into the winter market, he will need to sell players to free up cash.
