Newcastle United aren't dropping interest in Sporting CP defender Ousmane Diomande.

The stopper is a top target for Arsenal amid claims they have assured the player of an end of season move for him.

However, O Jogo says Newcastle aren't about to stand aside.

The Toon remain keen on Diomande and are watching him regularly this season.

As such, a January bid from Newcastle is now looking more and more likely. The player's contract carries a buyout clause of €80m.
