Germany under-18 midfielder Erkan Eyibil is interesting Newcastle United.

Aksam says Eyibil, who is at Mainz and has a contract until the end of next season, is on the radar of United, West Ham and Fenerbahce and is considering a move away from the Bundesliga.

The player actually has an offer from Newcastle which he is evaluating with his family at the moment.

The 17-year-old is a big talent but has yet to make a senior appearance for Mainz.

He has nine goals in 16 games for the Mainz under-19 side, which has piqued the interest of several scouts.
