Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan is chasing Liverpool wing-back John Arne Riise.
The Mirror says Keegan will lodge a £6.5 million bid for the Norway international.
Riise has been a central figure at Anfield since his £4.6m move from Monaco in 2001, making over 300 appearances.
