Newcastle are eyeing Olympique Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki.

But Football says Newcastle and PSG are keen on Cherki, who could be on the move from OL.

The Toon have learned Lyon are willing to sell the midfielder for £40m.

Cherki famously spent time at Manchester United as a teen, visiting Old Trafford and Carrington, before ultimately deciding against the move.

The 19-year-old registered five goals and six assists in all competitions last season.
