Newcastle United are ready to end their legal row with former manager Kevin Keegan.
The Sunday Sun says the Magpies and their former manager are on collision course over the manner of his departure from St James's Park last September.
But with both sides keen to head off any showdown, United are expected to agree to stump up a pay-off to Keegan.
Keegan is claiming £8 million from Newcastle for constructive dismissal, while the club have demanded £2 million from him for breach of contract.
