Newcastle United have emerged as a potential suitor for Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup.

The Magpies have kept an eye on Ozyakup for the majority of this season in the hope of sealing a summer move.

The 24-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the season.

And Turkish Football claim Newcastle have now joined Everton in the race to sign the former Arsenal academy player.

Ozyakup spent five years with the Gunners before joining the Istanbul giants in 2012.
