Newcastle United have joined Derby County in the pursuit of the signature of Hull City winger Tom Ince, reports Sky Sports.

Ince, who is set to enter the final year of contract at Hull, spent last season on loan at Derby under newlyappointed Newcastle United manager Steve McClaren.

The 23-year old attracted plenty of attention during his spell at the iPro Stadium, scoring 11 goals in 18 games. The Rams are now ready to break their transfer record to sign him. However, McClaren is also interested in the player at Newcastle and is ready to compete for the England U21 international's signature.
