Newcastle United are making a firm move for RB Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungary international has been watched regularly by Toon chief Dan Ashworth's scouts this past season.

And Sky Sports says Newcastle are now ready to intensify their interest.

Newcastle are moving for Szoboszlai after seeing Leicester City accept an offer from Tottenham for James Maddison.

The Toon can buy Szoboszlai without dealing with Leipzig courtesy of his £60m buyout clause.
