Newcastle United hero Mick Quinn feels Steve McClaren has three games to save his job.
Quinn wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "Not only are the Magpies bottom of the table with just three points from eight games - which in itself is embarrassing - they are capitulating far too easily and they just cannot see out games.
"In fact, I think Steve McClaren is hurtling towards the sack at the moment. If he does not get a result from the next two or three games against Norwich City, Sunderland and Stoke City - all of which should, in theory, be winnable - then I think Mike Ashley will press that big red button and sack him.
"You can give me all the 'it's only eight games into a season' and what not, but they're already five points adrift. How long can you really let this continue for without changing it up?
"McClaren just does not look like a man who knows how to turn this around to me."
