Newcastle United hero Mick Quinn is convinced Adam Armstrong is Premier League class.

Armstrong has starred on-loan for Coventry City this season.

Quinn wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "Obviously both the Coventry City and the Magpies connection means I have wanted him to succeed for both parties' sake, and he has been a breath of fresh air in League One.

"I said at the time when he moved to the Ricoh Arena that it was the best thing he could possibly have done for his own career development and thankfully that is proving to be the case.

"He has all the attributes to be a very good striker – and Coventry has been the very best place for his development. Newcastle can hopefully reap the rewards of that."
