Newcastle United are set to hand manager Alan Pardew a new contract.
The Daily Star says it could see the dual Manager of the Year handed a long-term deal which will keep him at the club well beyond the remaining three-and-a-half years of his current agreement.
Preliminary talks have already started between Toon managing director Derek Llambias and Pardew's representatives, who are seeking a pay increase for their man following the Toon's exploits last season.
