Newcastle United are growing quietly confident of landing Chelsea midfielder Kenedy.

The Telegraph says Newcastle are edging closer to signing Brazilian winger Kenedy from Chelsea.

Kenedy's return after a successful loan spell has been another of Rafa Benitez's priorities this summer and hopes are rising that terms can be agreed with Chelsea.

The Brazilian is also interesting Bayern Munich, but Kenedy has kept the door open to returning to Newcastle.

Chelsea rate the winger at £25-30m.
