Newcastle United fans are mobilising against club owner Mike Ashley.
The Daily Star says within hours of the window shutting on Monday night, a group calling themselves "United For Newcastle" were telling fans to rise up against the Ashley regime in a bid to oust him.
They have been in touch with The Spirit of Shankly, the Liverpool movement which played a key role in forcing out US owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks after three disastrous years at Anfield.
Irate Geordies bombarded social media sites after Newcastle finished as the only Premier League club not to pay a transfer fee during the summer transfer window.
