West Brom boss Tony Pulis is being tracked by Newcastle United.

Pulis is off contract in June and yet to discuss new terms at Albion.

The Mail on Sunday says Newcastle hope Rafa Benitez will stay even if they go down as he is keen to stay managing in England and they will give him the financial support to rebuild. They have been heartened further by his comment that he would like to stay 'for a while'.

However, should the Spaniard activate his release clause, Newcastle will look for a manager with a track record of earning promotion and stabilising in the Premier League. Pulis fits the bill and would be interested in taking on a new challenge with such a big club.
