Newcastle United are eyeing Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

The Toon's incoming new owners have big plans for the summer market and Calciomercato.it says Nainggolan is on their shopping list.

Nainggolan is on-loan at Cagliari from Inter Milan, though the midfielder admits he doesn't see a future for himself with the Nerazzurri.

He said over the weekend: 'It was my choice to go to Inter. They had (Luciano) Spalletti, which I had a great time with at Roma. My choice was simple. Spalletti, for me, is the best coach I have ever had.

"But if you ask me if I was happier to have come to Inter or more sad to have left Roma, I would say the latter."

Interestingly, Spalletti is also being linked with Newcastle today.
