Newcastle United management are excited by the progress of top prospect Sean Longstaff.
The Geordie boy, who has been on the books since the age of eight at United, smashed home a superb free-kick in the weekend's 2-2 draw with Manchester City in front of impressed Citizens officials.
Toon coach Dave Watson told the Evening Chronicle: "Sean's top scorer in the team and he's got an eye for a goal.
"We've got goalscorers in the team - midfielders and strikers as well - so we've got different options now, but Sean's got a great eye for a goal and his goalscoring record this season has been fantastic."
