Jack Rodwell is ready to quit Manchester City.
The Mirror says Newcastle United and Everton are set to battle it out to land Rodwell this summer.
He nearly left in January, only for the title-bound Blues to pull the plug when they failed to get Porto's Brazilian midfielder Fernando.
Alan Pardew's Newcastle and the Toffees were keen on him then, and both will step up their pursuit next month.
