Newcastle United have put in an inquiry for Leicester City winger Harvey Barnes.
The Magpies made an official offer for Foxes star James Maddison, but the bid was turned down.
According to the Daily Mail, they are now turning their attention to attacker Barnes instead.
The issue is that Leicester also value the 24-year-old at roughly £60 million, the price they wanted for Maddison.
Barnes is happy at Leicester, has three years on his contract, and the Foxes have no financial need to sell.
Barnes managed 11 goals and 14 assists in all competitions last season.
