Newcastle United could have the inside running for non-league wonderkid Che Adams.
The former Coventry City trainee is a target for the Toon, along with Burnley, Southampton and Nottingham Forest.
Ilkeston attacker Adams' agent is former Newcastle United striker Lee Payne who was signed by the club during the Jim Smith era from Barnet.
Speaking about Adams, Payne said: "He has got tremendous raw potential, and only today he showed that with a magnificent goal.
"We are delighted he has come on board, and whilst there is still a long way for him to go - and his priority has to be improving his level of performances week in, week out for Ilkeston - we think he has a very bright future in the game."
