Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was delighted to get 90 minutes under his belt in their Europa League draw with Metalist Kharkiv.
The stopper is expected to start again in Ukraine on Thursday.
He told The Journal: "Playing 90 minutes on Thursday was important for me in that respect, but it also helps to keep me on my toes in case I'm called on in the Premier League. I know if that happens I will need to be solid defensively, and playing against Kharkiv will help me to do that."
