Newcastle United defender Florian Lejeune has blasted Tottenham striker Harry Kane.
The Toon's summer signing from Spanish side Eibar damaged ankle ligaments in a clash with the striker and was sidelined for several weeks.
And while he's forgiven Kane, the French defender admits his failure to apologise afterwards riled him.
“At first I was angry," said Lejeune, who, when asked if the tackle deserved a red card, said: “Yes."
He added: “We all make mistakes, we all commit fouls but I think an apology would have been good, especially from such a great player, the England captain.
“I was warned and so I expected it to be more physical here than in France or Spain but there are things you do not do on a football pitch.
“But that is all in the past now and I will just work on trying to understand how people play here."
