Newcastle United defender Jamaal Lascelles admits victory over Swansea City has transformed the dressing room.
Lascelles, scorer of the opening goal against Swansea, who'd delivered a few home truths after the Southampton surrender, was again the one who summed it up best.
He said: “It's like a breath of fresh air.
“People were umming and ahhing about whether we could do it but we showed we're no pushovers.
“Everybody wanted it and in the changing room before the game, there was just something there and that's definitely what we've lacked.
“We had big characters playing today, characters who have come out of their shell and we needed that.
“It's clear that we can pass and cross the ball but the other side of things, the battling and fighting, we've shown today."
