Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley will reportedly keep Alan Pardew as manager despite reports suggesting otherwise.
BBC Sport suggests that the Magpies chief will continue on with Pardew at the helm even though the north east club finds themselves at the foot of the Premier League table.
Following the weekend's 4-0 defeat at Southampton, Pardew was heavily linked with a premature exit from St James' Park while Hull City boss Steve Bruce was quickly installed as favourite to replace him.
Tigers boss Bruce swiftly denied the speculation before Pardew took Newcastle training as usual on Monday and it appears for now that Ashley will persevere with the former West Ham United and Southampton gaffer.
Coincidentally, Newcastle take on Hull at St James' Park in their next Premier League fixture on Saturday.
