Newcastle United have confirmed Sandro Tonali's ten month playing ban.
Italy's Federation announced the suspension on Thursday for illegal bets made while with AC Milan.
And Newcastle confirmed today, releasing a statement: "The FIGC sanction includes an overall ban of 18 months, with eight months commuted as the player participates in a therapeutic plan and educational program in Italy comprising 16 commitments.
"On the evening of Friday 27 October, Newcastle United received confirmation that FIFA had approved the application of FIGC sanctions worldwide, meaning Sandro will be eligible to return to competitive football from Tuesday 27 August 2024."
