Newcastle United are closing on a deal for Bournemouth winger Matt Ritchie.

The Mirror says Newcastle are confident of signing Ritchie from Bournemouth.

The Scottish international winger is understood to be keen on the move, as the Magpies potentially brace themselves for Andros Townsend's exit.

The former Spurs man has an escape clause in the deal he signed in January at St James' park.
