Newcastle United have joined the battle for £9million rated Lille right-back Mathieu Debuchy.
With current Toon full-back Danny Simpson's future on Tyneside in doubt, the Geordies have been eyeing Debuchy, 26, says the Daily Star Sunday.
Debuchy, who can also operate in midfield, is also being watched by Valencia and Manchester United.
