Newcastle United managing director Derek Llambias admits every player has his price.

While rejecting claims Newcastle are a selling club, he does admit that all players have their price.

Llambias said: "The new signings all stayed within our model. January for us was fantastic business. We are actively looking at players and have been since October.

"We are looking all over Europe - it's not just France. That's been a good market for us but there are only so many you can get from there.

"We have some fantastically talented players at this club and they come here because it's Newcastle United and they want to play here.

"Are we a selling club? The fact is we are very difficult sellers.

"Did we get that reputation for selling Andy Carroll? I think that was an exceptional deal.

"We will sell when it suits us to sell. Everyone has got to have a price."
