Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is seeking top drawer quality this summer.

Pardew says his team is "80%" built - but while there has been talk of boosting his development pool, he insisted first-team faces will be a priority.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "We still need to make sure we get two or three recruits in there which take us forward.

"If we can do that, they'll grow as well, and we'll be much, much better next year."
