Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is adamant Andy Carroll will not be sold in January.
The highly-rated England international was linked with a £20m move to Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend - with Arsenal and Chelsea also long-term admirers of the Geordie boy.
But Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "It does get boring but it is not going to stop - it will never stop.
"It won't stop because he's a talent and that's what happens at big clubs.
"We have to have a big-club mentality and hold on to our best player."
