Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew admits he's been surprised by their kids this season.
Pardew was asked what he attributed to his team's remarkable turnaround, he praised the impact his young players have made.
He said: "Some things we've done have surprised me. Some of the young players have been particularly impressive.
"Mehdi Abeid's two performances at Manchester City and against Liverpool, for example.
"You can't second-guess them. On the training ground you see the potential. I've been in the game long enough to know that they were going to come - it's when.
"You look at the league now - I think we are a point behind Liverpool - it's very tight in that middle section and it's probably a good time to get a couple of wins.
"You get a little bit of difference between yourselves and that group at the bottom, and of course, that's our first priority at this football club and that's what we will focus on."
